Replace Old Mirror Closet Doors

Most mirror closet doors in Orange County homes are 20 to 40 years old. The rollers wear out, the bottom track bends, the frames loosen and the mirror backing starts to flake. New mirror sliding closet doors fix all of that at once and make a bedroom look bigger and brighter.

We measure every opening in person, order doors made to your exact size, remove the old doors and track, and install and adjust the new system in one visit. Your old doors are hauled away.

  • Framed mirror: aluminum frames in black, white, silver (brite), brushed nickel, bronze or gold
  • Frameless mirror: a clean, modern edge with no visible side frame, such as Contractors Wardrobe Infinity
  • Soft-close hardware so doors stop gently instead of slamming

Frameless Mirror Closet Doors

Frameless mirror closet doors have little or no visible frame on the vertical edges, so the doors read as one large mirror. They suit modern bedrooms and pair well with soft-close hardware.

Framed doors are the better choice when you want a color accent (black and gold are popular right now) or the most rigid panel for very tall openings. We bring samples so you can compare both in your own room.

McCoy Mirror Door Models at a Glance

Most of our mirror installations use the McCoy Doors & More lineup. Each model fits a different room style:

  • M-1000 Monument: the clean classic. A slim aluminum frame and standard mirror that suits traditional, coastal and transitional bedrooms.
  • M-2000 Capitol: frameless and minimal. The mirror is the feature, not the frame; a favorite for modern rooms, often in flat black.
  • M-3000 Patriot: a bolder architectural frame. Warm finishes like dark bronze add character to a neutral bedroom.
  • M-4000 Liberty: double-panel design that creates a full mirror wall across wide primary-suite closets.

Before You Replace Mirror Closet Doors

A few avoidable mistakes turn a one-day job into two visits. This is what we check for you during the free measurement:

  • Measure in three places. Width at the top, middle and bottom, and height from the finished floor to the track mounting point, not the ceiling. Openings are rarely perfectly square, and half an inch matters.
  • Don’t keep old tracks with new panels. Worn builder-grade tracks are the usual reason doors drag and jump. New panels should go on a new, matched top and bottom track.
  • Check the floor and flooring height. New flooring often changes the door height you need.
  • Ask about anti-jump hardware. Good systems include retainers that keep the rollers in the track.

Two-Panel or Triple-Track Mirror Doors?

Standard bypass mirror doors use two panels on two tracks, so you can open about half of the closet at a time. For openings about 90 inches or wider, triple track mirror closet doors let all three panels stack on one side and open about two-thirds of the closet.

Safety, Hardware and Brands

Mirror closet doors are big, heavy panels, so the hardware matters as much as the mirror. We install systems with safety-backed mirror, steel rollers and sturdy tracks from McCoy Doors & More (commercial tandem rollers and a stainless steel track) and Contractors Wardrobe. Mirror Closet Door Cost

New mirror sliding closet doors typically run $550–$850 per panel, installed, depending on size, frame finish and framed vs. frameless. A typical two-panel mirror closet is often $1,100–$1,700. You get an exact price after a free in-home measurement. See our 2026 closet door cost guide.

Broken Mirror or Doors Off Track?

Not every mirror door needs replacing. If the mirror is intact and the frame is solid, new rollers, a straightened track or a re-glued panel can make it glide like new. If a mirror is cracked, we can often replace just that panel.

Mirror Closet Doors: FAQs

Can you replace just the mirror closet doors and keep my opening?

Yes. We replace the doors and the top and bottom tracks inside your existing opening. No drywall work is needed in most homes.

Are frameless mirror closet doors more expensive?

They are usually priced near the upper end of our per-panel range. We quote framed and frameless side by side so you can compare.

Can mirror closet doors be made taller than standard?

Yes. Doors are made to your exact opening, including openings taller than the standard 80 or 96 inches.

How long does installation take?

Most mirror closet door installations are completed in one visit, including removal and haul-away of the old doors.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes. We provide a 1-year labor warranty as a licensed California contractor (CSLB #1136094), and sliding closet doors carry a 3–5 year manufacturer warranty.
